Estaba pensando sobre éste episodio de la historia y no me queda bien en claro el asunto... Sauron fue «expulsado» de Dol-Guldur, aunque en realidad fingía su retirada, pero la fortaleza seguía activa, como dice el Apéndice B: [quote]Tres veces Lórien había sido atacada desde Dol Guldur [...]...
Quizás Sauron huyó para evitar el enfrentamiento, ya que lo que no querría, baja ningún concepto, era mostrar su verdadera naturaleza. Entonces no habría sido necesario derribar las murallas. Tocarían retirada ante el avance del Concilio Blanco y se reuniría con los nazgul en Mordor, donde ya podría manifestarse abiertamente.
