"The Lord of the Rings theatrical teaser trailer will appear exclusively in theaters January 12, 2001 and will be attached to the domestic release of New Line Cinema`s movie, Thirten Days. The theatrical trailer will also appear in theaters worldwide within a three-day window of this date.
The official Lord of the Rings website at www.lordoftherings.net will launch on January 12,2001 at 12:01 PST as a completely new incarnation that celebrates the magnitude of the Trilogy project and provides detailed information about the production process and presents the next stage in our journey to the release of Fellowship".



"Not only does the movie look good (I´m a very big Cold War/Kennedy/Cuban Missile Crisis buff) but you WILL see the NEW LOTR Trailer before the movie. It will be out January 12th in North America, I´m not sure if the trailer will be with ´13 Days´ or other movies the following week for the folks in the UK, but overseas fans will see the trailer very shortly, and not in a few months. It is very likely that it will then be posted on the new official LOTR site after this time".
