Yo me inclino por eso, que eran rápidos. Además, podrían volar sin tener alas ¿No? ¿Acaso no son Ainur? Recordad que no sabemos todos los poderes que tenían. ¿Cómo retornó Melian a Valinor? ¿Andando? No lo creo. No sé si los balrogs volaban o no, pero si lo hacían, no serían necesarias las alas...

respecto a mi contestación a Arun, creí que el pasaje se refería al ataque a Gondolin, pero no, ser refiere a la huida tras la destrucción de Angband, así que sí es posible que se refiera a "huir".
